[My name is pronounced NEE-ner.]

I live in wide, open central Illinois, surrounded by flat fields and hot, humid summers. The wind can get blowing pretty good here, and the clouds are the big, poofy type that you can lie in the grass and stare at. I like to go rock climbing, but trees work, too (and they’re the closest things to rocks around here). I love acting, running, listening to music, hanging with friends/family, karate (I’m a black belt), animals, art, water park slides, anything sweet, any type of game, books, and the list could go on and on. I give all the glory to the one true God.

My favorite artist (musically) is Chris Rice. I LOVE Lemonade, Here Come Those Eyes, and Sneakin’ Into Heaven. Mannheim Steamroller, Rebecca St. James, and the Monkeys are all good, too.

I do a lot of different types of karate all mixed up with kick boxing. It’s fun!! : ) I’ve been running long distance for almost all my life. And hiking out west is fun, too. ; )

I love doing art. Graphite is one of my favorite media, but painting is fun, and obviously I like photography.

Favorite fantasy books: The Enchanted Forest Chronicles, Mairelon the Magician and its sequel, and the Dragon Spell series.

My goal is to love God, love people, and live it out, 24/7.

I use a Canon PowerShot A570 IS camera. For editing, I use a free download: Photomatix Basic 1.2. They have a Pro version, but I haven’t needed it yet. I also use Paint (believe or not).

  1. Great blog, Niner!! Blog hogs are the best..

  2. Congrats on the blog! It looks fantastic. I enjoyed reading your intro, and I must say, that every time I have been around you, you have lived up to your goals- your love of God was always evident. Your kindness to others shows your love for them. You are a beautiful living example of Christianity at it’s very finest!

  3. Niner,
Great pic of Picasso. Looks like he’s sitting on barn straw. I liked the zoo pics, too. What are those big circles? I don’t think I’ve ever been to the St Louis zoo. We’ve been to the one in Denver. It’s really nice, but maybe not as big? I enjoyed your blog and I will come back.

  4. Niner’s feeling a bit sick, so I’ll give you a hint on the circles: Look closely at the top of the column, then read downward. (It may help to cover either the right- or left-hand side.) She was playing with a different perspective.
